Menu Bar
The left menu bar contains links to various areas within the OPAL website. If your browser supports JavaScript (and it is enabled), you can navigate further using the submenus. Please be aware that Google Chrome is not supported by this website and you will not be able to view the complete left menu bar.
Keyword Search Box
The Keyword Search box searches for permits or other informative OPAL documents. You can enter a keyword or phrase and click the "Search" button (or press the ENTER Key) to retrieve a list of all the available information matching your search criteria. The display will list all documents available. Please be aware that
indicates that the link is for a permit, while the
indicates some helpful information.
Business Type Search Box
The Business Type Search box searches for a particular type of business activity. Please be aware there are several ways to refer to a business type. The display will list the business type. To create a customized list of links, click on the business type.
New York State Web Banner
The New York State Banner at the top of the pages provides a link to the NY.gov Portal page, a link to a listing of all New York State agency website links, and a search box to search NY.gov.
"Expand All" and "Collapse All"
When viewing a page containing a list of information, you may see "Next," "Previous," "Expand All" and "Collapse
All" options at the top and bottom of the lists. Clicking on "Next" will bring you to the next series of items in the list, and
"Previous" will bring you back to the previously viewed list. "Expand All" will expand the list to display more detailed
information, if available, and "Collapse All" will revert the list back to its original format.
